One of the biggest projects that I am assigned during my internship at Tri-County Baptist Church consists of partnering with two ladies in coordination of the annual missions conference. After many months of preparation, the conference is set to begin this weekend and continue through next Wednesday.
My father, Steve Fulks, will be the main speaker and will be joined by nine other missionary couples who are either currently seeking support or are actively ministering in their place of service. They minister in countries from Mongolia to Bolivia and from Germany to Togo.
If there is one word which could describe the body of believers at Tri-County, it would simply be 'missions-minded'. There is not a church that I am aware of that is more conscientious of God's saving work around the world. From monthly prayer groups held in various houses to frequent work teams to a very active and contributing Women's Missionary Fellowship to frequent missionary candidate additions to sending church members abroad, Tri-County stands as an testimony to the cause missions. Currently, they support 145 missionaries in 48 countries around the globe. As Juli and I seek to follow in the steps of many of these people, this church remains a vital tool in regards to teaching us for our future ministry.
