"Better than I deserve". An answer to a question that rang in my ears for the rest of the day. While leading the VBS at Tri-County Baptist Church I overheard one elderly man ask an Air Force veteran how he was doing. His answer: "Better than I deserve". With his history and a little information about his recent time in Iraq, I think that he had life itself in mind. But it struck me how much this short answer is true for me and every other believer. At all times, in all places, and certainly under all conditions, we should be able to answer that same question, "How are you?" with a simple, yet profound response, "Better than I deserve." Praise God for His awesome grace!
